We are trying to gather details of individual weavers in various villages and towns of India and understand their problems regarding being profitable. We want to connect them directly to the buyers all over the globe and help them to capture the entire value created from what they weave and sell.

We request individual weavers from all over India to contact us and provide their details and weaved products and shall publish here as we receive the information.

Weaving in Assam

The handloom textiles sector in Assam has created numerous jobs in the rural areas.But the weavers face a problem of not being able to cater to bulk supply of their products due to absence of systematized production and this adversely affects the market of hand woven products.

Now weaverreach.com aims to address problems such as this. We connect the buyers to the weavers who can directly sell to the customers. The weavers add their product details as and when they are ready to be sold and buyers get alerts by email regarding updates of products.This portal enables weavers to get a vibrant market and higher price for their products. They dont have to depend on middlemen to sell their weaved goods, the entire globe becomes their marketplace.

The weavers can also buy yarn, silk and other raw materials through the portal.

Different type of buyers from all over the globe register with us. They login and directly contact the sellers. Now, as and when supply is there and products are updated, alerts are sent to all the customers informing them that new weaved products have arrived. This arouses a curosity in the customers and they login and depending on the price or quality of the product they would buy the product. Also, various retailers may be on the look out for new and fresh products and most probably will buy the products. By registering as seller and selling here, the weaver can charge a higher price than what they get from the local markets or middlemen.

Assam weaves three types of silk fabrics, namely Muga, Eri and Pat and consumers can buy sarees, dress materials and other fabrics woven from these silks from the comfort zone of their homes.
